Sammi knows what's up for delicious Korean food! This mom and pop shop has not yet made a dish I didn't love. I've been twice and this is what I've tried:
Jap chae - Really tasty. Great chew on the noodles.
Seafood pancake - Fried really nicely.
Oxtail stew - AMAZING. Must get.
Tofu kimchi jae yook - The tofu is a nice change of pace.
Dol sot bi bim bop - Standard and good.
Jja jang myun - This was good, not great.
Sammi is where it's at for Korean food. I will find any reason to come back here. -

I wish there is an option for no star..... horrible experience. Called last week; we were told that they have spicy crab all the time. We can visit any time. Great news. Traveled all the way there today and no spicy crab.... They blamed on H mark's unstable supply. OK, understood. Let's order some kimchi ribs. Sorry, no kimchi ribs. What? Does Michigan market short of ribs??
All in all, if you are not Korean, don't go. They don't care about you and they don't need business from you. Stay away from this place.... -

Tagged along with my little sister here in the middle of a winter storm to warm ourselves up with some spicy noodle soup.
The service was really great! There is no charge if you want hot tea instead of water. Our server was really nice and explained where to find the Korean fried chicken on the menu for our next trip there. (The table next to us ordered it and it looked so good. They even told us it was delicious.)
I ordered a spicy noodle dish with seafood and veggies. It had four mussels, some shrimp, and squid. Along with some baby bok choy and napa. Super delicious and very spicy!
The decor here looks so cute and trendy. Plus this restaurant has a warm welcoming feeling with the good service and delicious homemade food.
Will come back again to try Korean fried chicken! -

First time here and the food and service was very good.
I didn't care for the atmosphere. Some of the chairs had ripped seat cushions and overall the place was dingy. Menu had handwritten prices which looked tacky. I wish they use glass instead of plastic drinking cups and bowls.
I gave it a 4 star because of the food and service. -

Got takeout on a weekday and it was ready in just about 20 min. We ordered kimchi pancakes which were huge and delicious. I do wish there was a little bit more crispiness to them but that's just me. I also got Japchae which was delicious -- my favorite dish that we ordered. We also got the seafood and tofu stew which definitely had a kick. I've always loved the homey feeling of eating a stew. I would definitely get one of those again but maybe not the seafood as it was a bit too heavy on the seafood flavoring in the soup portion. Nevertheless I feel like these opinions are very unique to my food tastes as I am no expert on Korean food despite having eaten it often. Overall I was really pleased with my experience. The staff was really kind on the phone and in person. Happy to go back again. Oh! and also appreciated (as most all Korean places do this) the extra side dishes they included for free in the takeout order. :)
